Kent County, DE is conducting a reassessment of all 88,252 properties within the county. The County has contracted with Tyler Technologies, Appraisal & Tax Division to conduct the reassessment. See the attachment for a generation explanation of the reassessment process.

WBOC DELMARVA’S NEWS LEADER
WBOC-TV began broadcasting on July 15, 1954 in Salisbury, MD. The television station has become known to the community as “Delmarva’s News Leader.” WBOC is an affiliate of CBS and a member of the Associated Press.
stormwater maintenance petition approved.
EnviroTech during the June visit began transplanting three beneficial plants (duck potato, soft rush and blue flag iris). This process will help control erosion on the bench shelf, enhance water quality, and add aesthetic to the pond. EnviroTech will also implement a method of biological mosquito control. The Kent County Levy Court has accepted the petition of the Brenford Station II HOA based upon a majority of the homeowners voting in the affirmative for acceptance into the Kent County Stormwater Maintenance District Program. The Kent County Levy Court will levy a fee of $28.00 per property annually in the community starting in the month of August 2022.
2 new pond fountains installed
Two new Aqua Master Crystal Geyser Master Decorative Series 208-240V pond fountains have been delivered along with 115 feet of 14/3 cable with AquaLock for each fountain. The process of ordering and having the fountains delivered took several weeks in itself. More information to follow on installation of the fountains.
SMYRNA’S NEW YARD WASTE PROGRAM
The town recently acquired a rear-loading trash truck to improved collections and will repurpose the previous blue and yellow recycling bins for a more efficient yard waste program. Only yard waste in a rigid container will be collected by the town. There are two (2) ways to request a bin. You can use our online submission form or request one from Jennifer in Public Works. If you email her, please use the subject line: residential yard waste bin request.

The transfer of the open spaces is now complete. Adel Construction (Sylvan Valley Real Estate) has completed the tasks required to fulfill their obligations to the Brenford Station II community.

Pet Friendly & Considerate of Neighbors
Please pick up after your dogs and keep them on a leash when you are walking your them. Pet urine can kill some plants so be mindful of your neighbor’s property and your precious pup!
